The LIVE UNITED Awards celebration were held on
Wednesday, April 24th at the Marriott in Downtown Monterey
United Way Monterey County's LIVE UNITED Awards celebrate and recognize volunteers for their contributions to our community in the broad priority areas of Education and Youth Services, Human Services, Youth Volunteer, Community Service, and Lifetime Achievement Award.
Education and Youth Services:
Mel and Regina Mason
This category recognizes community volunteers who have made outstanding contributions in supporting education and empowering young individuals within the community. (ex: mentoring, tutoring, after-school programs, career guidance, etc.)
Human Services:
Jennifer Fenton - Equine Healing Collaborative
This category recognizes community volunteers who have made a significant impact by providing compassionate care and support to individuals and families in need. (ex: aiding homelessness, health services, and other initiatives that address social issues and improve the well-being of vulnerable populations)
Youth Volunteer:
Sophie Sparano
This category recognizes community volunteers under the age of 21.
Community Service:
Barbara Collins
This category specifically focuses on volunteers who have contributed their time, skills, and efforts towards improving the overall well-being and quality of life in Monterey County. (ex: organizing community events, spearheading charitable campaigns, participating in community development initiatives, etc.)
Group Volunteers

Lifetime of Service:
Dr. Kathleen A. Rose
