UWMC's Alexis de Tocqueville Society members got together Monday, July 29th at the Monterey Peninsula Country Club to celebrate Alexis de Tocqueville's 214th birthday! Click here to see picture from the event.
Founded in 1984, the United Way Tocqueville Society is an opportunity for passionate individuals to become more deeply involved in United Way's mission. Tocqueville Society aims to change lives through philanthropic leadership focused on quality education that leads to a stable job; income that can support a family through retirement, and good health. The society also focuses on expanding high-level personal giving and United Way Major and Planned Giving programs.
More than 20 guests attended the celebration. Joe W. Heston, President and General Manager of KSBW, wasn't able to make it to the event, however he provided enlightening facts and information about Alexis de Tocqueville which can be seen in the video below.
